The Tricks That Mirrors Play

No matter the size, we're always looking for ways to make a room appear bigger!  Introducing mirrors ~ of any size and in any room ~ will give the illusion of a larger space, as well as providing visual interest.  Whether your desire is to display one large mirror, a grouping of the same mirrors, or a collage of different style mirrors, you truly will create a statement wall of art!  Mirrors provide dimension and depth, and can be the focal point and conversation piece for any room.

What a great statement wall...  Who knew that inexpensive and simple, black wood-frames could become a wall of Art!  Because of the reflection, it appears as if there is another room behind through the mirror 'peaks'.

Even with using similar style mirrors, look how different these two spaces appear!
The left picture shows a collage of the same mirror styles, but in different sizes, giving a fun and casual appearance.  Contrast to that, the right space is a structured, more streamlined look.  Both beautiful, but different!

An alternative to the leaning mirror ~ which is ever-so popular (and functional) ~ is to add a wall of mirrors.  Back in the day, my grandmother had a wall of mirrors in her living room and it looked SO dated...but like they say "everything old is new again"  and the wall of mirrors has made the return, but {WITH A TWIST}....and here it is.
This is the 'new' look to mirrored walls!

I love how sophisticated this looks....imagine entering (or leaving) your home and this is what you get to look at...BEAUTY!  Plus, you can decide which mirror you want to check yourself out in before you make your way out the door.

Can we say {SOPHISTICATED}...
I love how the mirror is reflecting the beautiful, detailed archway behind.
You would never get to appreciate that without the mirror!

With these mirrored closet doors, you can see yourself from every angle (that could be good or bad, hehe).  Forgo the hanging mirror behind the door to see yourself in the morning and instead mirror your closet doors.  How simple and unique!
