Family Room Transformation

So this is my first week joining a Blog Party, called Monday Metamorphosis at Between Naps on the Porch.  This is one of my personal metamorphosis...my family room.  When we moved into our house less than a year ago, it was drab, drear, and in complete NEED of color!  In our Family room, shown below,we removed the chairrail that was installed way too high, changed the carpet (blah), painted the walls (yuck), and VOILA....see the AFTER!
